Morning Routine And Other Things

We have a routine every morning.  When mama’s alarm goes off, we sit and stare at her until she finally gets up.  Being considerate cats, we run in front of her and weave ourselves between her ankles as she makes coffee and turns the laptop on (so she gets exercise, of course).  Then we finally settle ourselves down like this:

“While you’re at it, could you check our email, too?”
Yesterday mama bought a USB wireless adapter in hopes of improving the connection between the wireless router and the laptop, but it was from a cruddy brand.  So in addition to our regular routine, there were some HBO words to liven things up a bit.
“Hmmm, I know what the problem is–you bought a Belkin USB adapter! Didn’t you read the reviews first?”
Mama has a question, also:
Thanks, kitties!  Hey, everyone.  I was wondering what you feed your cats?  Mine kind of reek at both ends (mouth and tail ends, that is) and even though their stools are firm and they get dental treats, I was considering feeding them something different.  Right now they are getting Iams Multiple Cat formula, which I used to think was a good brand until I did some research.  Any ideas?  Thanks in advance!

Hiya furiends and Mama! You guys have a similar routine to ours in the morning! As for the feeding. Our mom did lots and lots of research on foods when our brofur Cal (RIP) was sick. The research would make her head spin because there is so much info out there and it's amazing what is in some cat foods!!! She discovered that grain-free foods are very good for kitties, she has also read that raw diets are great, but we don't have access to them here. Daisy the Curly Cat and Harley are eating raw and they love it. We have eaten Addiction Foods and Blue Wilderness. Blue Wilderness is what we are on at the moment because we have easier access to it because it is sold at PetSmart. We also get oral solution in our water and PetZLife oral gel everyday to help with the bad breath and tartar build up. There is a book called Not Fit For A Dog and it is a real eye opener about what is in our foods. is a link about selecting a good commercial food. of luck on your quest for new foods!!Purrs,Maggie May of The Creek Cats

Great pictures! We have the same problem here with Rufus too. So far all we do around here is hold our noses when he yawns and give him baths.

Well, we feed Iams, too, so I can't help you there. I know Daisy has all kinds of recommendations that way. They even have frozen kitty meat in their freezer. There's so much out there in the way of food, it's really hard to decide. We've also used Science Diet in the past, and you can get a dental formula, too.

We use Science Diet dry food with a few Friskies Party Mix treats. Spunky Doodle particularly some tuna flakes on top–I just put a few on for her which reminds me, I have to get some more!

We like how you help your mom on the computer! We do the same thing! As far as foods, we're not big fans of Iams…our mom feed us grain-free foods both canned and dry. Ernie has allergies so he gets special grain-free allergy foods. We like Wellness canned foods and Blue Wilderness and Natural Balance…Wally

We get only dry kibbles and used to eat Iam's but we were all throwing up too much, so a few months ago Mom switched to Science Diet Sensitive Stomach formula. There's been a big improvement in the number of vomit piles she finds. Once in a while we get pouch food and as a rare treat, canned food.
